Job Summary

Compact Industries is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team in a 2nd shift role. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to receive, transfer, and ship materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately identify and label materials by SKU and quantity.
  • Supply Chain Support: Unload and load LTL and truckloads of materials, finished goods, and supplies.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Team Collaboration: Effectively communicate with coworkers to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Stock Takes and Inventory Counts: Assist in conducting stock takes and inventory counts as needed.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing the warehouse area for audits.
  • Production Schedule Review: Review and understand the weekly production schedule and shift expectations.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, twisting, and stooping motions are required 50% of the time.
  • Working Environment: May work outdoors around docks and trucks.
Computer Skills and Requirements
  • Scanner Experience: Must have experience using scanners.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.
  • Mathematical Skills: Must be able to calculate simple mathematical figures.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One or more years of forklift operator/LTO experience or training required. Experience in manufacturing and food environments a plus.
