Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate program goals, plans, policies, and procedures to support the development and operation of center-wide manpower functions and activities.
  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities, including mentoring, motivating, and appraising staff.
  • Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
  • Develop long-range plans and objectives pertaining to all center mission areas.
  • Lead and/or monitor projects in support of appropriate action items and use leadership skills to develop, implement, and review processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with and represent JIOWC to other military departments and government agencies.
  • Develop plans, policies, and directives to affect successful mission accomplishment.
  • Direct management actions required to be accomplished by the Center and coordinate staff functions/activities for military, civilian, and contractor personnel to ensure Center objectives are met.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service
  • Must maintain current certifications
  • Must be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Qualifications
  • GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS)
  • Must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions
  • Must have knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation
  • Must have skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments
Working Conditions
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
  • Must be willing to work overtime, including irregular duty hours such as evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
