Position Overview:

This role is for an Automation Controls Engineer with a focus on SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems.

As part of Elan Partners, this position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Controls & Automation Engineering, ideally within sectors such as Food & Beverage or Consumer Products.

  • Extensive experience with SCADA systems, particularly with Aveva (Wonderware), is crucial.
  • Expertise in Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix) with advanced ladder logic programming capabilities.
  • Proficient in HMI Development, specifically using Wonderware (Aveva) Archestra.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Experience in designing and specifying process control panels.
  • Advanced programming skills in process-related areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Wonderware MES or similar Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Familiarity with .NET programming.
  • Proficiency in SQL database management and scripting.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet/IP Communications within industrial control systems.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics is required.

The successful candidate will engage in various controls and automation projects, including the installation and enhancement of manufacturing systems. Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, installing, and commissioning plant control and automation systems, which involve PLC programming, HMI development, and data collection from MES.
