Job Summary:

The Telecom Project Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing telecommunication wireless and wireline (fiber optic) projects. This includes preparing stormwater, grading, and erosion and sediment control designs, as well as land development, zoning, and construction drawings.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review designs with minimal guidance.
  • Manage small groups of sites for completion with PM oversight.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for smaller external clients.
  • Assist and host conference calls with clients for site design issues and zoning preparation.
  • Prepare or review scopes of work and budgets, and schedule assignments.
  • Provide direction and technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
  • Perform field investigations/site visits, as needed.
  • Provide PM support for specific delegated tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in related field.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • Civil design experience preferred.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate extensive, diversified, and complex knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Demonstrate advanced investigative, analytical, and research skills.
  • Ability to effectively perform as a key team member/role model.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical and non-technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
