Job Summary

Premise Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
  • Conduct nursing assessments, provide treatment within scope of practice, and collaborate with physicians to arrange further medical treatment when needed.
  • Identify equipment that needs repair and bring it to the attention of the lead clinician.
  • Perform occupational and health screening tests, conduct laboratory tests, and quality control procedures.
  • Document accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow-up care arranged.
  • Evaluate health education/promotion needs of patients and provide necessary training and instruction.
  • Identify emergency situations and provide care within legal scope of practice.
  • Administer medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a physician or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Maintain medical records using electronic medical record software.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, follow infection control procedures, and maintain patient privacy and confidential patient information.
  • Participate in follow-up phone calls and follow-up patient visits.
Requirements
  • Certificate from an accredited nursing school or associate's degree (A.S.) is required. Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
  • Currently licensed registered nurse in the state of practice required.
  • Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • Certification in occupational health nursing, certification in emergency nursing, or certificate in case management preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • At least three years of experience as a registered nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
  • Knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
