Certified Nursing Assistant 3 for Medical Oncology Unit

The Certified Nursing Assistant 3 (CNA3) performs advanced patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, while also collecting noninvasive body fluid specimens and gathering vital signs. Additionally, the CNA3 assembles, monitors, and discontinues intravenous feeding tubes, working closely with patients to maintain their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assists with meals and feeds patients, ambulates, and positions patients for comfort
• Administers enemas, douches, and other medical treatments as needed
• Collects urine samples, attaches EKG leads, and removes catheters as required
• Maintains accurate records of patient care and vital signs
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certified Nursing Assistant license required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
