Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring their unique needs are met and their progress is monitored.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student participation, independence, and social-emotional development.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student, utilizing a range of instructional techniques and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services, promoting a cohesive and supportive team approach.
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to facilitate student participation and independence, ensuring equal access to learning opportunities.
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Special Education is preferred, but a valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education is required.
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
