Position Overview

The Financial Services Associate will adapt to various responsibilities as needed within the branch, performing tasks akin to those of a Teller, Banker, and Loan Officer. This individual will assist members by executing transactions, discerning their needs, and proposing suitable solutions. A strong emphasis will be placed on elevating member satisfaction and ensuring account retention through outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage actively with members to uncover their financial aspirations and requirements.
  • Accurately and efficiently process deposits, withdrawals, payments, wire transfers, and other transactions in line with established protocols.
  • Assess checks presented and determine applicable hold periods.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor throughout all interactions.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all Credit Union offerings.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with both new and existing members, ensuring their needs are met through exemplary service.
  • Manage currency transactions from the vault, adhering to teller drawer cash limits.
  • Conduct outreach calls to members for onboarding and relationship enhancement.
  • Propose financial solutions by cross-selling relevant products and services.
  • Address basic inquiries regarding interest rates, fees, and account histories while adhering to disclosure requirements and privacy regulations.
  • Refer members requiring Real Estate, Commercial Loan, and Wealth Management services.
  • Provide accurate and honest information and documentation necessary for loan evaluations.
  • Gather essential documentation to support loan applications.
  • Understand and apply the Bank Secrecy Act as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This role involves working in both office and field environments, which may include various indoor and outdoor settings.
