Job Title: Middle School Math Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Middle School Math Teacher to join our team at Lynn Public Schools. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Job Summary:

The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students in grades 5-8. The teacher will develop and implement standards-based lessons, assess student progress, and provide regular feedback to students. The teacher will also be responsible for collaborating with colleagues to design and implement curriculum, and participating in professional development activities to improve teaching practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement standards-based lessons in mathematics for students in grades 5-8

  • Participate in professional development activities to improve teaching practices
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Valid license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Mathematics 5-8
  • SEI Endorsement
  • Additional content area licensure is encouraged
  • Experience in an urban district/setting preferred
