Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

At Sevita, we are committed to providing high-quality rehabilitation services to individuals with brain, spinal cord, and medically complex injuries, illnesses, and other challenges. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate speech and language skills, development, articulation ability, and voice and fluency disorders of patients assigned.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient therapy plans, coordinating therapy modifications with the Director of Clinical Services and client's physician.
  • Identify and develop intervention strategies, reviewing pertinent client medical data to determine the effectiveness of therapy services.
  • Instruct clients, family members, and primary caregivers as needed to ensure the maintenance of or acquisition of optimal functioning level for each client.
  • Ensure effective coordination of client home care services through timely completion of required documentation and transfer of pertinent medical data.
  • Report and record assessments, evaluations, therapy interventions, and patient changes according to physician orders and Sevita's policies.
  • Maintain appropriate HIPAA compliance and a safe patient environment.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology and one year's experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
