Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess speech and language skills, development, articulation ability, and voice and fluency disorders of patients assigned.
  • Therapy Planning and Implementation: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient therapy plans, coordinating therapy modifications with the Director of Clinical Services and client's physician.
  • Client Education and Support: Instruct clients, family members, and primary caregivers as needed to ensure the maintenance of or acquisition of optimal functioning level for each client.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Review and document comprehensive evaluation reports, summarizing tests utilized, results of test(s), and diagnosis of speech/hearing disorders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Experience: One year's experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist.
