Medical Assistant Senior Opportunity

INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit health system, is seeking a Medical Assistant Senior to join our team in Northwest Oklahoma City, OK.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant Senior will work closely with our team to provide exceptional care to patients, while also serving as a mentor to new staff members and assisting with their development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.
  • Document patient status accurately and timely using EMR.
  • Report any suspected abuse and refer patient/family to appropriate health or social resource.
  • Perform procedures such as Venipuncture, EKG, Waived Testing, Bone Density, X-Ray, and other procedures as assigned by the physician, manager or clinical supervisor.
  • Manage large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Gather and document information about patients' condition, including lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status, and potential complications.
  • Participate in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions, which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics).
  • Participate in the orientation and skilled development of new staff as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration.
  • 3 years as a clinic Medical Assistant in an ambulatory setting.
  • 3 years direct customer service experience, 3 years telephone customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
