Job Summary: We are seeking an outstanding academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care to join our team at UCSF Medical Center.

About the Role: As a full-time academic surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching and mentoring surgery residents and medical students, and contributing to the development of academic clinical programs.

  • Requirements: Board certification in General Surgery is required. Preferred qualifications include a fellowship in abdominal wall reconstruction/hernia surgery and expertise in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery for hernia repair and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
  • Responsibilities: Candidates must have demonstrated leadership skills in health care systems and academic clinical program development. Academic interests in surgical technology and health service research are preferred.

What We Offer: The position offers a minimum base salary range of $177,100 - $377,200, with membership in the health sciences compensation plan providing eligibility for additional compensation.
