About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Program Director to join our team at American Career College. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our nursing programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement program curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies to ensure student success and program accreditation.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing faculty, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities and contribute to the success of the program.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure program compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional and programmatic accreditors.
  • Develop and manage budgets, plans, and staffing requirements for the operation of the program, ensuring they remain within budget guidelines.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate program faculty, improving retention and morale, and performance efficiencies.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse, with at least one year in teaching or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof, in a state-approved registered nursing, vocational, or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five years.
  • A baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • A current CPR card and a Texas Board of Nursing Requirements, including a current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.
