Join UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital's Mobile Crisis Team

We are seeking passionate Crisis Clinicians to join our team at Resolve Crisis Services, a 24-hour, 365-day crisis service. As a Crisis Clinician, you will be responsible for assisting in consumer service and clinical services, responding to mobile crisis calls, and providing supportive counseling to consumers.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload for the shift
  • Obtain clinical information in the medical record
  • Provide supportive counseling to consumers to promote stability
  • Work efficiently and independently in a crisis setting
  • Support consumers and negotiate appropriate referral services
  • Collaborate with Clin II for case consultations
  • Meet documentation and complete all required paperwork
  • Complete face-to-face crisis assessments
  • Respond to telephone calls from consumers and community professionals
  • Manage crisis situations effectively
  • Complete case reviews
Requirements:
  • Crisis Clinician Associate: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • Crisis Clinician I: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with one year of mental health direct care experience or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • Crisis Clinician II: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with two years of mental health direct care experience and one year of crisis experience or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with one year of mental health direct care experience
Licensure and Certifications:
  • CCM training required within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Drivers License
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • OAPSA
