Position Summary

HPTech is actively seeking a Concrete Research Specialist to assist concrete research engineers in executing research initiatives and ensuring the laboratory's cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fabricating concrete formwork.
  • Mixing concrete and preparing specimens for testing.
  • Coring and maintaining general laboratory cleanliness.
  • Utilizing forklifts or cranes for moving materials.
  • Basic rigging and installation of instrumentation under the guidance of a concrete research engineer.

The role will be conducted in a cutting-edge concrete laboratory within a government facility.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required; an Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a construction materials technician.
  • Expertise in performing various ASTM and AASHTO test procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level 2 certification is required.

This position is contingent upon the award of a federal contract to HPTech.
