Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Support Specialist I at the City of Colorado Springs Airport. This is a special at-will position with funding through September 2025 and the possibility of an extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the traveling public, responding to concerns and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist airport staff in long-range planning, supporting environmental initiatives, construction drawings, and project management.
  • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled work in the maintenance and repair of airport facilities, including runways, taxiways, buildings, and hangars.
  • Assist with construction contract compliance and amendments, ensuring adherence to FAA regulations.
  • Act as a point of contact for contractors and the Planning, Design, and Construction team, facilitating communication and resolving issues.
  • Manage invoices and track documentation, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED).
  • One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education, or one year of relevant academic coursework beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for one year of required professional experience.

The selected candidate must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration.
