Job Description:

The primary function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, and test electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. This role requires the ability to create engineering drawings, read and interpret blueprints, and apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
  • Review and approve the cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety of design models.
  • Collaborate with clients to discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects.
  • Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in digital system design/electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence Orcad, Altium, or equivalent.
  • Experience with standard electrical engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, high-speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Advanced ability to perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
  • Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
  • Advanced ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.
