Job Title: Camp Specialty Instructor

At the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Camp Specialty Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our Day Camp program, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational and recreational experiences to children and teens.

Job Summary:

The Camp Specialty Instructor will provide leadership and instruction in a specific area of expertise, such as arts and crafts, sports, or STEM activities. You will work closely with our Day Camp Lead to ensure a safe and engaging environment for all participants.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our program goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to children and teens in a specific area of expertise.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all participants.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure a positive experience for all.
  • Participate in staff trainings and meetings to stay up-to-date on program developments and best practices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience working with children in a structured setting.
  • Background and expertise in a specific area of instruction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with teens.
  • Current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
