Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate resident preferences and activity requirements upon move-in and continuously by utilizing the Resident Interest Worksheet and engaging with all new residents within a week of their arrival to ascertain their desired level of participation in activities.
Plan and execute resident activities daily while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Create a monthly events calendar in advance to engage residents across intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social dimensions.
Actively promote all activities within the facility to enhance resident involvement. Adhere to the established schedule with minimal alterations or cancellations. Organize entertainment within budgetary guidelines to enrich residents' experiences. Ensure compliance with the budget allocated for activity supplies and entertainment.Conduct a quarterly event that can also serve marketing purposes. These resident gatherings will function as promotional events, showcasing entertainment for our residents.
Collaborate with the Community Relations Director and other management personnel to coordinate these events, which encompass planning, advertising, setup, and cleanup.
Provide and manage transportation for resident activities and other requirements. Schedule resident outings on the monthly calendar, including sightseeing excursions, destination visits, and medical appointments. Coordinate any activity outings and medical transportation with the assisted living community.Ensure that you and any staff members under your supervision operate safely and that any unsafe behaviors are addressed appropriately.
Adhere to Safety Committee Standards.In the event of workplace injuries, assist the Executive Director with investigations, return-to-work processes, and communication management with the injured worker, care provider, and management company.
Encourage teamwork among colleagues, demonstrate initiative in overcoming challenges, take actions that support others beyond your job responsibilities, and positively influence coworkers, residents, and visitors.
