ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Procedures:
    - Accurately identify patients and explain procedures clearly.
    - Ensure proper documentation and compliance with protocols.
    - Apply electrodes correctly and monitor patient conditions during procedures.
  • Safety Protocols:
    - Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality.
    - Adhere to safety precautions when providing patient care.
  • Professional Communication:
    - Utilize effective communication skills to facilitate patient care.
    - Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Continuous Learning:
    - Engage in professional development through educational opportunities.
    - Demonstrate knowledge of neurodiagnostic practices and equipment.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1 year in a long-term epilepsy monitoring unit.
  • At least 2 years of experience in intraoperative monitoring.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or related field preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification by a recognized provider.
