Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Assistant to support the Nutrition Education Program in the Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the program team, including coordinating logistics, tracking supplies, and maintaining records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate program activities, including planning and implementing nutrition education events and workshops
  • Manage program supplies and inventory, including ordering and tracking materials
  • Provide administrative support to the program team, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders
  • Assist with program evaluation and reporting, including data collection and analysis
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on program development and implementation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of nutrition and health education principles and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Clerical experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of nutrition or food-related programming and initiatives
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities
