Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Lead to join our team at Fortune Brands. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities concerned with the production of our company's product(s).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Staffing and Scheduling: Plan and implement staffing of assigned area to meet production requirements, ensuring adequate personnel are available to meet production schedules.
  2. Production Planning: Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties to ensure efficient production processes.
  3. Quality Control: Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity and product specifications, and operating or production problems.
  4. Product Inspection: Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct set up and adjustments of machines to ensure optimal production.
  5. Training and Development: Coordinate the training of new employees and delegate workload effectively throughout the area.
  6. Process Improvement: Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
  7. Operating Procedures: Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  8. Employee Motivation: Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals, maintain time and production records, and analyze and resolve work problems.
  9. Compliance and Safety: Interpret and enforce all company policies to workers, enforce safety and housekeeping regulations, and ensure compliance with company policy and maintain disciplinary corrective action.
  10. Inventory Management: Control the inventory of supplies and raw materials, work in process, and scrap within the area of responsibility.

  12. Personnel Management: Approve daily hours of personnel and perform other duties as necessary to maintain an efficient operation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred with college and/or work experience.
