What will your responsibilities include?
Customer Service / Sales / Stocking:
- Delivering excellent customer service; addressing customer inquiries about products, processing orders, and assisting with product selection.
- Utilizing suggestive selling techniques to fulfill customer needs and enhance department sales.
- Making regular product announcements to keep customers informed.
- Working a flexible schedule to adapt to various departmental shifts.
- Performing duties across multiple departments, including technical or perishable areas such as bakery, floral, market, etc.
- Executing stocking and replenishment tasks, managing product returns and rotation, ensuring inventory accuracy, and fulfilling additional responsibilities throughout the store.
- Building, stocking, and maintaining displays and fixtures.
- Assisting with inventory control; loading, unloading, and moving products.
- Preparing, packaging, labeling, rotating, merchandising, and pricing products.
- Gaining knowledge of various departments and applying understanding of processes and policies.
- Adhering to store and departmental SOPs, policies, and applicable regulations.
- For the Service cross-functional team, acting as a Checker when not engaged in Cross-Functional duties.
Food Safety / Sanitation:
- Ensuring compliance with departmental and store SOPs for food safety and sanitation.
- Properly operating and maintaining all equipment.
- Cleaning and sanitizing sales floors, display cases, preparation areas, and equipment.
What qualifications do you need?
- Minimum age of 18 (mandatory).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of experience in H-E-B store operations.
- Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training.
