As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our members. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with treating physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and implement effective treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Provide Psychotherapy Services: Offer individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions to members, utilizing evidence-based practices and research methods.
- Conduct Assessments and Diagnoses: Accurately assess and diagnose members' mental health conditions, developing effective treatment plans to address their needs.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for members.
- Provide Education and Support: Educate members and their families on mental health topics, providing support and guidance to promote adherence to treatment plans.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring high-quality services for members.
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- License: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with the Couples and Families Endorsement.
- Experience: Previous experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards, and ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
