We are seeking a skilled leader to join our team as a Supervising APN at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. As a key member of the department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, you will play a critical role in providing clinical and administrative guidance to the Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) on the hospitalist service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of clinical competence by establishing structure, policies, and guidelines that promote excellence in patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading clinical activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Recruiting, developing, and evaluating APN staff to align with departmental objectives.
  • Implementing quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing programs to meet departmental and divisional objectives.
  • Fostering effective relationships with physician leadership to ensure adequate staffing and quality of care delivery.

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $138,864.00 and $212,464.00.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of five years of nursing experience, including at least two years as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • A Master's degree in nursing, with a Doctor of Nursing Practice highly preferred.

Certifications/Licenses required:

  • Registered as a Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
