American Training is a reputable organization seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at our Lowell MA location. As a key member of our Day Habilitation program, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our guests.

About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for coordinating the provision of healthcare support, training, and monitoring required medical services. You will interface with various healthcare providers, coordinate essential follow-up, and work closely with our skilled team to advocate for our guests' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides assessment and direct nursing care to guests as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Communicates medical changes, needs, and concerns to Residential and Clinical Vice Presidents/Directors, Senior Nurse Manager, and colleagues through various media
  • Coordinates medical supports, including emergency treatment, as required for guests
  • Assumes direct nursing care for all program guests
  • Effectively trains colleagues and ensures competency (where applicable) of colleagues in special needs/medical issues of guests
  • Provides technical training and ensures competency of colleagues in the use of medical devices in the program
Requirements
  • Nursing degree with a Massachusetts RN license in good standing, preferably with a minimum of 2 years' experience
  • One-year related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of MAP regulations and Department of Developmental Services regulations a plus
  • Satisfactory CORI

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
