Responsibilities

As a caregiver, you will provide hands-on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

  • Maintain cleanliness of resident's apartment/home
  • Help residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident
  • Participate and assist residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed
  • Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities
Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • HHA certificate proving a minimum of 40 hours of education with 2 hours in classroom time
  • OR a Certified Nurse's Aid certification through the State of Florida
  • CPR certification
  • Driver's License
  • Auto Insurance
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, management, and co-workers
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Must have transportation and active driver's license with proof of auto insurance
