About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Addus HomeCare. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
  • Encourage and support clients in maintaining their independence and autonomy.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and games.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client condition or safety concerns to the office.
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of experience as a Caregiver or in a related field.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Successful completion of state-required training and certification.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
