We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at LifeBridge Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job SummaryThis position requires the candidate to work in a fast-paced environment, performing screening and diagnostic Mammography exams with precision and accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform Mammography exams in accordance with institutional policies and/or practice standards.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Ensure accurate breast positioning, exposure techniques, and image evaluation while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards.
- Assist with invasive procedures in breast imaging as directed by the interpreting physician.
- Document activities related to contrast media and/or medications in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
- Graduate of an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Met the guidelines associated with initial mammography training and maintained appropriate modality specific continuing education credits.
- ARRT Registration in mammography preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of one (1) year previous experience in a clinical setting.
