Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Field Network Technician to join our team at CellularOne. As a Field Network Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain network equipment, including antennas, towers, and fiber optic cables.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with network equipment, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as engineering and operations, to ensure seamless network operations.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of network technologies, including IP networking, routing, and switching.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending training sessions and workshops as needed.
- Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of technical issues and solutions.
- Document all work activities, including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting, in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in telecommunications or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies, including IP networking, routing, and switching.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a variety of environments, including outdoors, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced office setting.
- May be required to work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and in other challenging conditions.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools.
