Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at WMCHealth. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough and ongoing holistic nursing assessments, identifying current and potential problems, and developing individualized plans of care.
  • Patient Care/Discharge Planning: Collaborate with patients, support systems, and healthcare team members to meet patient needs, discharge needs, and outcomes.
  • Teaching: Provide individualized, ongoing teaching to patients and support systems throughout the continuum of care.
  • Communication: Demonstrate mutual respect and collaboration when communicating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Treatment/Procedures: Perform all treatments and procedures in accordance with established evidence-based policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
  • Documentation: Accurately, efficiently, and in a timely fashion, document pertinent patient information.
  • Medication Administration: Provide all aspects of the medication process, including assessment, administration, monitoring, and evaluation of patient response.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed in the State of New York, or permittee.
  • Minimum of one year Med/Surg experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
  • Knowledge of appropriate technology and practice standards for area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years critical care or emergency room experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications required.
  • TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred.
