Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Middle School Language Arts Teacher to join our team at Bellevue School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching language arts to middle school-aged students in grades 6-8.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging language arts curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language arts education.
Requirements
  • Possess or qualify for immediate issuance of a valid Washington State teaching certificate with an endorsement in language arts.
  • Knowledge of Bellevue School District's curriculum and instructional practices.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
