Position Overview

**Senior Investment Portfolio Manager**

As a key member of the Investment Solutions division, you will be responsible for the formulation, oversight, and execution of investment portfolios and strategies that support the objectives of RGA Reinsurance Company. Your main emphasis will be on crafting and advocating for liability-driven investment approaches that align with our strategic aim of expanding our insurance business. It is essential that these approaches not only fulfill our operational requirements but also reflect our risk tolerance and asset-liability management (ALM) alignment.

Core Responsibilities
  • Act as the principal liaison for various teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for investment solutions.
  • Establish and nurture relationships and strategic partnerships with both external and internal collaborators.
  • Advise on credit-related pricing assumptions for new business initiatives.
  • Manage strategies for new business transactions, including pricing and repositioning efforts.
  • Oversee the execution of asset strategies and communicate necessary repositioning plans.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding ALM risks and investment-related topics.
  • Review and present investment performance reports.
  • Mentor and develop team members as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

Required:

• MBA with 5 to 15 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree in Economics/Finance with over 10 years of pertinent experience.

Preferred:

• Advanced degrees, ASA, FSA, or CAIA certifications.

• 5+ years of experience in corporate credit.

• 5+ years of experience in alternative investments.

• 5+ years of experience in fixed income management within an insurance client context.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

Required:

• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Solid understanding of investment and market principles.

• Advanced knowledge of asset-liability management.

• Proficiency in Excel/VBA, Bloomberg, and BlackRock Solutions.

• Strong business insight.
