Job Title: Specimen Processing Specialist

Job Summary:
Equiliem Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Processing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Operations Department, you will be responsible for supporting the processing and handling of specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort and rack specimens for laboratory testing
  • Deliver specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner
  • Store specimens in a secure and organized manner
  • Centrifuge and aliquot specimens as needed
  • Identify and resolve issues with specimen types and missing information

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical background preferred, including medical terminology
  • Previous experience in a production environment preferred
  • Familiarity with mainframe computers a plus
