Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse IV to join our team at Hidalgo County, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients, planning and coordinating nursing activities, and supervising the work of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement nursing activities and programs
  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients, including administering medication and observing patients for unusual symptoms
  • Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing staff, including planning, assigning, and monitoring work
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and processes
  • Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to agency staff, care recipients, and the medical community
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an accredited nursing school with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Four years of experience in nursing work, including one year or more of experience as a supervisory nurse
  • One year or more of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse by the State of Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Certification in Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write)
  • Ability to provide patient care, prepare and maintain records, and explain public health law
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing activities and delivery of public health services
