Under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Director of Health Services, this Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure high-quality patient care and meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, colleagues, and vendors, ensuring satisfaction and a positive experience.
- Arrive on time, dressed in a clean uniform, with good personal hygiene and a visible name tag.
- Coordinate and perform resident assessments and plan of care evaluations as necessary.
- Administer treatments, medications, and other nursing interventions as indicated by the patient plan of care or ordered by the physician.
- Ensure adherence to emergency procedures and standards of nursing practice.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and medications to meet patient needs.
- Protect patient rights and maintain accurate documentation as required by federal and state regulations and company policy.
- Perform duties safely and efficiently, using equipment correctly and following department safety protocols.
- Follow highest standards of cleanliness and adhere to federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines.
- Attend mandatory in-service meetings and comply with department and facility policies and procedures.
- Current LVN licensure on file.
- Experience in long-term care, community health, geriatric, and/or rehabilitative nursing is desirable.
- Knowledge of current state and federal regulations.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Ability to understand, follow, support, and initiate policies and procedures of the facility.
This role requires the ability to walk, stand, talk, and listen, as well as grasp and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to wear gloves to guard against exposure to body fluids and cleaning agents. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required, with over 50 pounds requiring mechanical assistance or the aid of a coworker.
