Job Summary:

The Family Service Association seeks a highly skilled and experienced Program Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our Guardianship Program, you will be responsible for reviewing cases and handling legal matters related to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend court hearings, meetings, and other legal proceedings to represent the interests of our clients.
  • Draft and review correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents related to case work.
  • Handle assigned matters, including Guardianship cases, Roger's Reviews, and Administration of Estates, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Submit weekly billing sheets for accurate and timely billing purposes.
  • Respond to the reasonable expectations of the Agency and/or Program Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member in good standing with the Board of Bar Overseers.
  • Experience with Probate Court and Guardianship matters is preferred.
  • Preferred Area of Educational Emphasis: Juris Doctorate.
