Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Bennettsteel. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for recording and maintaining our day-to-day financial activities, including purchases, payments, receipts, and sales. You will work closely with our accounting team to analyze financial transactions and prepare financial reports. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure accurate and timely financial data entry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a system for posting financial transactions.
  • Record and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Verify and ensure correct data entry.
  • Maintain previous financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to collect information, analyze, and create financial reports.
  • Issue invoices to buyers and suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts.
  • Manage petty cash and general ledgers.
  • Provide administrative support to the staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 2 years of experience in bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in MS Excel, QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero, and Zoho Books.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
