Position Overview:

  • Prepare and manage production batches of nitrile latex and other essential materials based on precise formulations, ensuring accurate calculations for each batch size.
  • Assist in the planning, assembly, and maintenance of batching systems.
  • Utilize standard mixing equipment to combine materials, measuring properties such as total solids, pH, viscosity, and other necessary characteristics.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare intermediate chemical solutions for the production of nitrile latex products.
  • Support activities related to production, sampling, testing, and material handling of compounded solutions.
  • Manage flex hosing and other industrial piping and pumping equipment.
  • Document all formulations and observations throughout the batching process.
  • Maintain accurate records of all aspects of formulation in production batch documentation.
  • Provide technical updates to project leadership regarding ongoing assignments.
  • Conduct peer reviews of production documents.
  • Communicate equipment status and operational requirements to the technical services team.
  • Complete daily shift reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Associate Technical degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial or chemical material handling preferred.
  • Familiarity with water-based polymer materials and compounding processes, gained through experience or education, is advantageous.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in all assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in compounding, mixing, process measurements, and testing activities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing organizational and business needs.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering an environment of trust and open communication.
  • Effective self-management skills, integrity, and productivity under pressure.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
  • Legible writing and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Clear oral and written communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Able to lift over 50 lbs.
