Job Summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a skilled Store Cashier I to provide exceptional customer service and support to our guests. As a key member of the store team, you will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining a clean and well-stocked food and beverage area, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using a point-of-sale (POS) register
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked food and beverage area, including restocking merchandise and cleaning equipment
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store objectives and promote a positive work environment
Requirements:
  • Basic computer and POS knowledge preferred
  • Cash handling skills preferred
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and team members
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
