Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations for the organization’s Separate Accounts assets
Investigate and rectify reconciliation discrepancies arising from policy administration systems and general ledger inputs
Work collaboratively with various departments to resolve reconciling issues and ensure accurate accounting and reporting in accordance with US GAAP and Statutory standards
Prepare GAAP disclosures for quarterly and annual reports
Compile SEC filings for registered separate accounts and NAIC annual statements
Provide audit support documentation for both internal and external auditors

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
1-3 years of experience in GAAP or STAT accounting within the Financial or Insurance sectors is required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of macros, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
Familiarity with financial reporting systems and analytical tools
Strong quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities
Ability to adapt to evolving situations and manage multiple tasks with precision

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in investment accounting or reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Access
