Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DC Operations Manager in Training to join our team at O'Reilly Auto Parts. As a key member of our operations team, you will assist the DC manager in directing the day-to-day operations of a single distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the DC manager in overseeing all aspects of a single distribution center, including service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, productivity, and other key performance indicators.
  • Provide training, guidance, and counseling to DC team members.
  • Lead a team of 1-15 supervisors and up to 300 hourly team members.
  • Establish annual goals and plans to achieve them.
  • Work closely with the DC manager and human resources to support team members and ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
  • Conduct timely evaluations of all team members.
  • Assist in planning and preparing the annual operating budget.
  • Monitor expenditures and coordinate with the DC manager for approval.
  • Provide a safe working environment and manage risk and risk-related costs.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Above-average computer skills
  • 2+ years' experience as a distribution center supervisor with a proven record of success
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments within one center
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree or logistics certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
