Job Summary:
Thunder Basin is seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on our heavy mobile mining equipment, draglines, shovels, and drills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned mechanical, electrical, and welding maintenance on company equipment, focusing on all areas of maintenance, including shop and field maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, shovels, draglines, dozers, graders, haul trucks, support equipment, and welding.
- Conduct major and minor maintenance on light vehicles and lube trucks.
- Perform other duties as assigned, with primary assignments made according to skills.
Requirements:
- Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be willing to work in adverse conditions, including extreme temperatures, dust, rain, snow, and wind, as well as frequent contact with grease and dirt.
- Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in general light vehicle, heavy maintenance work, and/or relevant electrical work.
- Formal education or training in the maintenance and/or electrical field.
