CNC Operator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our team at a leading provider of Tube, Pipe, and Roll Forming tooling. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating state-of-the-art CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and more
  • Read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings to understand specifications and desired results
  • Translate instructions into computer commands to ensure machines perform tasks correctly
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines
  • Conduct test runs to check machine outputs against specifications
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large numbers of parts
  • Supervise machines during execution and make adjustments as needed
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
Requirements:
  • Minimum of six months of experience operating CNC machinery and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities
  • Sit down Forklift knowledge or willingness to learn
  • Able to lift 75 pounds
