{"Responsibilities": "Key Responsibilities

As a Nuclear Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate selection, dosing, and administration of medication orders in specialized areas such as nuclear medicine, oncology, and cardiology. You will serve as a subject matter expert in pharmacy discipline and provide guidance across pharmacies and to clinical leadership.

You will review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems. You will recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate and compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.

You will provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients, and communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care. You will oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.

You may also assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students and provide patient counseling when required.

You must be a licensed pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy. You must also have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Pharmacy residency is preferred.
