Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at Sky Lakes Medical Center. As a key member of our nursing education team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff in the medical-surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff using evidence-based standards and guidelines.
  • Provide clinical instruction to nursing students, new graduates, and experienced nurses using a variety of methods.
  • Assess the educational needs of nursing staff through regular evaluations and feedback.
  • Implement strategies to address areas of improvement and enhance the overall competency of the medical-surgical nursing team.
  • Collaborate with individuals and teams to coordinate educational initiatives and participate in hospital committees and workgroups as assigned.
Requirements
  • BSN with current OR nursing license and 3+ years medical-surgical experience in a hospital setting.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training that demonstrates clinical expertise, patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing, education, or related field.
Working Conditions
