Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Holding Room/Same Day Surgery Float Full-Time position at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing same-day surgery procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients undergoing same-day surgery procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address any identified concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in same-day surgery care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication among colleagues.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa or eligible for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in same-day surgery or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
