Leasing Consultant - Affordable Housing (Part-Time / Temporary)

This role is designed as a Part-Time position, encompassing approximately 24 hours per week, and is classified as a Temporary assignment.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Leasing Consultants at Fairfield are adept sales professionals who embody our core principles of enhancing living environments for our residents. We are in search of enthusiastic, customer-oriented individuals who excel in closing deals while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to leave a positive impression on prospective residents. This position provides significant opportunities for advancement within the Fairfield Property Management Team, potentially leading to roles such as Assistant Community Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective and current residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Guide potential residents through the leasing journey by highlighting community features and amenities.
  • Evaluate customer needs, address concerns, and foster relationships through exemplary service.
  • Surpass resident expectations and enhance retention through outstanding customer care.
  • Meet sales objectives, maintain leasing ratios, and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction throughout the leasing process.
OPERATIONS
  • Manage lease documentation, maintain essential paperwork, and update relevant computer systems.
  • Verify application information, follow up on income confirmations, and submit to the property manager for approval.
  • Utilize property management software to facilitate leasing activities.
MARKETING
  • Implement marketing and promotional initiatives, including updates on social media platforms.
  • Stay abreast of local market dynamics and monitor competitive offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail environments.
  • Familiarity with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical, typing, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Professional communication abilities, with prior experience in leasing or real estate considered beneficial.
  • Proven ability to close sales is highly sought after.
  • Knowledge of tax credits, fair housing regulations, and industry practices is a plus.
  • Experience with property management accounting software such as Yardi is desirable.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license may be required.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
