This position requires in-office presence, as you will closely supervise, guide, assist, and manage other team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare precise and timely financial statements in compliance with business management policies and procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, and audits.
  • Conduct and present financial analyses, long-term cash flow assessments, and profit & loss reporting solutions.
  • Oversee insurance renewals and claims for both institutional and individual clients.
  • Deliver weekly client communications, including cash reports and updates.
  • Assist in the review and summarization of all client agreements.
  • Create, review, and approve budgets, shareholder payroll, and 1099 reports.
  • Support the oversight and execution of new client onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate directly with management on estate planning, asset purchases, and investment assessments.
  • Monitor cash management to oversee credit card activities, fraud alerts, and credit score concerns.
  • Review the work and accuracy of Staff Accountants in areas such as accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of commission calculations and payments.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement concepts.
  • Experience in a CPA firm or family office setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax return concepts for individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLCs, and Partnerships.
  • Experience with tax audits and the ability to respond to notices.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, analyze, and resolve financial and tax-related issues.
  • Proficient in software applications, particularly Excel, and familiar with CCH ProSystem.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively manage client interactions (written, verbal, and in-person).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working collaboratively as part of a team.
